Lifecycle Marketing Manager

Maple Media is looking for an experienced and creative lifecycle marketing manager to join our Los Angeles based team. This role will be focused on developing, executing, and optimizing new email/lifecycle marketing strategies to target users across our portfolio of digital apps. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Own, implement, and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns, including automations, lifecycle series, and ad hoc messages

  • Audit existing email efforts and performance to improve and inform future strategies

  • Identify opportunities and develop new email series to increase user engagement, conversion, and cross-promote apps  

  • Manage email database, create and implement segmentation strategies to optimize user targeting

  • Conduct A|B tests to gain insights and optimize efforts, including segmentation, personalization, content, send time

  • Own the email QA process, including proofreading for clarity, grammar, deep links, landing pages, etc.

  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop messaging and content, including promotional offers

  • Work with design team to develop email templates and creative assets

  • Track, analyze, and report on performance metrics, customer segments, & A|B test results

  • Assist with the evaluation and onboarding of new email marketing platforms as needed

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in email/lifecycle marketing

  • Hands-on experience working with a customer engagement platform (LeanPlum, Clevertap, Braze, or similar)

  • A basic proficiency in HTML/CSS and email template implementation

  • Strong analytical skills and capabilities, ability to review key metrics to inform strategy to impact KPIs

  • Strong copywriting skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, you understand and empathize with users and know what they want and why our products create value for them

  • Self-motivated and exceptionally organized

  • Able to manage several projects while maintaining sharp attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally across departments

  • Solid understanding of data privacy legislation, including GDPR, CCPA, CASL, and the changing privacy landscape

  • Desire to be a part of an early-stage team and work with urgency and high attention to detail in a startup environment

  • Mobile App/Games experience a plus

  • Push, SMS, and In-App campaign experience a plus
