Junior Media Buyer

Job Overview

Maple Media is looking for a driven Jr. Digital Media Buyer to join our Los Angeles-based team. This role is focused on developing, launching, monitoring, and optimizing paid marketing efforts across multiple channels. The ideal candidate is highly data-driven, looks for creative ways to reach goals, and is excited about the mobile app & gaming industry.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Execute and manage paid media campaigns across multiple platforms to support a variety of apps in the Maple Media portfolio

  • Monitor and optimize campaigns on a daily basis to improve KPIs

  • Manage budgets across apps & channels to drive strong ROI

  • Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance, notable insights, and identify future opportunities

  • Research & review audience targeting to discover opportunities to further optimize acquisition approaches

  • Further develop existing digital media strategy; discover and test new & emerging channels

  • Ideate, implement, and measure A|B tests to gain insights and improve strategies

  • Partner with design team to develop engaging creative assets, including video

  • Collaborate with engineering/product as needed to audit data flows, event & campaign tagging to ensure accurate reporting

  • Keep current on advertising platform updates, including best practices and emerging trends in the online paid media space

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Minimum 3-5 years hands-on experience in paid ads/media buying, including implementing & tracking campaigns across multiple ad platforms

  • Strong analytical skills and capabilities; you can look at CPI, CPM, ROAS, DAU, and other key metrics to optimize strategy to grow KPIs and revenue

  • Strong SEM experience

  • Experience with Google Ads, Apple Search Ads, Facebook Ads; paid search & social, paid display, native ads, and other digital media advertising channels

  • Experience in third party analytics tools such as AppsFlyer, Sensor Tower, App Annie

  • Proven ability to adhere to budgets to meet business goals and report on campaign performance

  • High level of accuracy with sharp attention to detail

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong copywriting skills

  • Must be self-motivated and exceptionally organized

  • High level of initiative with the ability to follow through

  • Able to manage several projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively

  • Desire to be a part of an early-stage team

  • Ability to work with urgency and sharp attention to detail in a fast-paced startup environment

  • Mobile app/games experience a plus
