Founded in 2017, by industry veterans from Google and Jam City, Maple Media is based in Los Angeles and Quebec. Maple Media is backed by a $30M investment from Shamrock Capital, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm with a rich history of investing in media, entertainment, and communications.
Leadership

Michael Ritter is Founder and CEO of Maple Media. Prior to Maple Media, Michael was an early employee and SVP of Business & Corporate Development at Jam City, a social and mobile gaming company, where he oversaw mergers & acquisition activities, publishing, licensing, distribution, sales, legal and partnerships for social and mobile games. While at Jam City, Michael helped grow the business into a 400+ person studio, with seven mobile games ranked in the top 100 grossing charts on the App Store.
Earlier in his career, Michael was the Founder and Publisher of Saturday Night Magazine, which Michael built into the largest circulated monthly collegiate lifestyle and entertainment magazine in the country. Michael received his MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.
David Bos is Chief Operating Officer at Maple Media. Prior to Joining Maple Media, David was the executive team business lead at Mobcrush, a Kleiner Perkins Caufiled and Buyers, First Round Capital and Evolution Media backed live streaming platform for mobile games. Prior to Mobcrush, David was part of Google, where he helped start and lead the global mobile apps, games and startups advertising team. David joined Google following the $350m acquisition of Wildfire Interactive.
David holds an MBA from University of Michigan Ross School of Business, as well as a BA from the University of Michigan.


Shamrock Capital Advisors is a Los Angeles based investment firm with a rich history of investing in the media, entertainment and communications sectors. Shamrock uses their proprietary network of relationships and deep industry vertical knowledge to identify companies with significant value creation potential for investment.
